September in the Low Country | 36x48 acrylic on canvas
Part of The Shape of Memory collection, September in the Low Country recalls those last lingering days of summer, when the light has softened, the colors have faded just a little, and everything seems to move at a slower pace.
Watery blues and greens drift into warm, sun-bleached neutrals, bringing to mind marsh grass, winding tidal creeks, and the hazy horizon of the Low Country. There’s still warmth in the air, but you can sense the season beginning to change.
Like so many of the paintings in this collection, the landscape isn’t meant to be a particular place. It’s more like a place remembered years later, when the details have blurred but you can still recall exactly how it felt to be there.
This piece is being sold unframed but we offer affordable framing options, please inquire.
