In this beginner-friendly, self-paced video class, I'll show you how to turn colorful bits of fabric, simple embroidery stitches, and a few playful embellishments into your very own Love Note, a sweet little piece of handmade textile art.

We'll layer fabrics, stitch around our shapes, add some beads, and embrace all the little imperfections that make handmade art so special.

You don't need to be an experienced stitcher or have fancy equipment. Just gather a few supplies, set aside some creative time, and join me!

In this class, you'll learn how to:

• Choose and layer fabrics to create your design

• Use fusible adhesive to secure your shapes

• Add simple, expressive hand embroidery

• Embellish your piece with beads

• Finish and display your textile artwork

Supplies you'll need:

• 4-inch embroidery hoop

• Assorted fabric scraps

• Fusible adhesive, such as Wonder Under

• Embroidery floss and needle

• Seed beads, beading needle, and thread

• Ribbon for hanging

• Scissors and an iron
